Originally created in 1956 the compound has developed from a single color (off white tone) into a wide variety. This growth started in 1958 with the premier of the 4-pack which consisted of white, yellow, blue and red. If this achievement wasn’t enough, the compound also began reaching countries such as England, France, Italy and Spain in 1964. Most recently Play-Doh conducted a survey to determine which was the countries favorite compound colors. The results from this were Rose Red, Purple Paradise, Blue Lagoon and Garden Green as the year 2000 favorite colors. Now that this small creation has reached its 50th birthday in 2006 it would be a pleasure to present its history through time. |
